The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) announced that Thompson-Boling Arena will host the Velocity Tour’s (VT) event in Knoxville, TN for the second consecutive time on Saturday, February 2nd.
For one night, some of the best bull riders in the world will battle the sport’s fiercest bovine athletes. The thrilling 8-second rides and heart-stopping wrecks make the PBR’s VT Tour one of the most exciting live sporting events to witness.
The bull riding action begins at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday, February 2. Each rider will face one bull in Round 1 before the 10 riders with the highest score advance to the championship round. At the end of the competition, the rider with the highest combined score in the two rounds will be crowned the champion.
Knoxville will be the 7th stop on the 2019 VT Tour, which spans the country in cities including Salinas, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Rapid City, South Dakota; Rochester, New York, and Ontario, California. The 2019 RVT Tour will culminate with the RVT Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas in November, leading into the PBR Unleash The Beast World Finals. The winner of the VT Finals, the second- and third-place finishers, and the top international performer, along with the 2019 VT Tour Champion, will each qualify to compete at the PBR World Finals.
Ages 2 and up must have a ticket!
The Clear Bag Policy is in effect for all Arena events!
Walk-through metal detectors are now in place and operational at all arena entrances. Please allow extra time to enter the building. Be prepared to remove all items such as cell phones and keys from your pockets before passing through the metal detectors.
